Janelle and Rob planned their first birth to be at home and in the birth pool. Their plans changed when her labor moved very quickly and she succumbed to the power of her labor and birth in the small, dark hallway in their home. They just bought their first home together last year and, as a gift, Rob gave Janelle a canvas of a photo from the birth framed with the threshold where Grace was born. It now hangs next to their front door.
